About the Artist

Kyle Babin is Director of Music at Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church.  He holds a Bachelor of Music degree (summa cum laude) from Rice University, a Master of Music degree from Yale University, a certificate from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Manhattan School of Music.  His organ teachers have included Clyde Holloway, Martin Jean, and McNeil Robinson.  While at Yale, Dr. Babin was the recipient of the Charles Ives Prize in Organ and the Richard Paul DeLong Prize in Church Music.  He was also awarded the Bronson Ragan Award by Manhattan School of Music.  Dr. Babin has played recitals in numerous locations in both the southern and northeastern United States, including such notable New York City venues as the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, The Brick Presbyterian Church, and Park Avenue Christian Church.  In July of 2009, he was one of sixteen organists from across the world invited to participate in the International Organ Festival at St Albans, England.  Dr. Babin resides in Washington, DC.

The concert is free of charge, with a free-will offering collected to benefit Bethesda Cares, Inc., an organization helping the needy in Montgomery County.   A reception will follow the concert.  For more information, please contact the church at 301-365-2850.
