In addition to connecting within our congregation to hear and coordinate the members’ spiritual gifts, Bradley Hills members connect with the wider church by supporting with funds and participating in several activities of the National Capital Presbytery and PC(USA). In addition to denominational benevolences to National Capital Presbytery and PC(USA) mission programs, we are involved in the following…

- Participating in Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) mission trips
- Drafting overtures to the presbytery that became PCUSA resolutions:
- divestment/reinvestment overture that went from NCP to PC(USA) to shape PCUSA policy on investments in Israel/Palestine,
- the environmental statement of the denomination regarding protection/advocacy of the environment, and
- PCUSA policy on Gene Sequence Initiative, Human Genome Project.
BHPC continues to acquire grants from several NCP and PC(USA) sources to support our mission partnerships.
- From the Old Alexandria Fund in 2007 and 2008 - $11,000 for Village Health Team program in
- Uganda
- A 2008 NCP Peacemaking grant - $4000 went to the Al-Watan Center in Hebron
- From the Old Alexandria Fund in 2007 - $2000 was given to provide sewing machines and marketing training for a project among isolated women in the Bolivian Andes.
- A PC(USA) Self-Development of People grant in 2006 - $19,000 went to support an electrification proposed by our partners in a rural sub-county in Eastern Uganda.
- Academy of Hope activities at BHPC were born of a 3-year grant from NCP in 1990’s
