Quiz and Pasta Bowl
February 12 (6:00-7:30pm) – We need all hands on deck for this popular intergenerational and family friendly fundraiser. Do you want to help create quiz questions, decorate Memorial Hall, help prepare the food, sell tickets, or be on the all-important clean- up crew? Let Noelle know how you would like to help. Also spread the word about this event to your friends and family.

Daybreak Devotions
Spiritual reflection . . . music . . . silence.  2nd Wednesday each month, 7:00-8:00am.  Sanctuary.  Led by Gail Brown & Marilyn Alberts.

Kitchen Ministry
The Kitchen Ministry gathers each month to prepare meals for clients of Bethesda Cares and members of the Friends Club, an Alzheimer’s support group that meets at Bradley Hills.  If you would like to join this new local mission, we meet in the church kitchen the second Tuesday morning of each month at 7:30 AM. For those who can’t take time off during the day, we do prep work the evening before – the second Monday of the month at 7 PM. If those times aren’t convenient, consider baking a pan of brownies, a tray of cookies, or a cake that can be dropped off at church. There is also need for three people to serve the lunch at the Church in Bethesda on Wilson Lane, where our brothers and sisters gather to eat.

Brown Pelican Lift Off by Evelyn JacobArt Exhibit
The work of photographer Evelyn Jacob will be on display in the Lounge during February and March.  While her work ranges from landscape, nature, and flower close ups, this particular exhibit focuses on birds in flight. The images are offered for sale, with 20 percent of the sale price going to the church.

BHPC Book Group
On Sunday afternoon, February 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. the BHPC Book Group will meet to discuss Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, a novel by Beth Hoffman, the story of a twelve-year-old girl. The county library has quite a few copies.  We have also decided to read a new nonfiction account of the Israeli-Palestine situation, The Hour of Sunlight: One Palestinian’s Journey from Prisoner to Peacemaker, by Jen Marlowe and Sami al Jundi. We haven’t yet selected a date for that discussion. Plan to join us. All are welcome at any time!
