Bradley Hills is blessed with an active and talented staff that supports the many programs and activities of the Church. Our staff functions with a strong emphasis on teamwork, seeing its role as empowering the lay members of the congregation - i.e., supporting ministry while also calling forth and encouraging the gifts of individual members in planning and implementing programs.

Rev. Dr. David E. Gray, Pastor/Head of Staff

David grew up active in the PCUSA from birth in Dayton, Ohio, loves music, movies and sports and feels the spirit alive at BHPC. The opportunity to care for individuals and their families spiritually, sharing joys and sorrows, and to help people grow in faith and in relationship with God is a privilege he is grateful for. David previously served churches and on campuses in Washington, D.C. and before that worked in marketing and in the legislative and executive branches of government.
David received a Bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard, a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law, a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in church leadership also from Wesley. David's wife, Bridget, founded Wiggle Room, a consignment shop in Bethesda, and with their four children and dog the Grays are proud to be part of the BHPC family.

Rev. Juli Wilson Black, Interim Associate Pastor

Juli graduated summa cum laude from the University of Richmond and received her Master’s in Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. Juli served as designated pastor at Irvingwood-Acacia Presbyterian Church in Chicago, IL from 1995-1997. She was Associate Pastor of Riverside Presbyterian Church (1998-2004), a suburban church outside Chicago, IL. Since then she has served as supply pastor in various churches, most recently for Capitol Hill Presbyterian in Washington, DC. She has also received interim pastor training in Montreat, NC.
As an associate and solo pastor Juli honed her skills in administration, pastoral care, preaching and worship leadership, youth ministry and Christian education. Among her passions are creative styles of worship, connecting members of the church family across generations, and theological reflection on contemporary social issues. Juli’s husband Rob serves as vice-president of Sojourners in Washington, D.C., and they and their three children (ages 11, 8, and 4), live in Reston, VA.

Kyle Babin, Director of Music

A native of Texas, Kyle Babin is Director of Music at Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree (summa cum laude) from Rice University, a Master of Music degree from Yale University, a certificate from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Manhattan School of Music. His organ teachers have included Clyde Holloway, Martin Jean, and McNeil Robinson. He has also studied improvisation with William Porter. While at Yale, Kyle was the recipient of the Charles Ives Prize in Organ and, consequently, performed a recital at historic Center Church On-the-Green, New Haven, Connecticut, where Charles Ives was organist. Kyle was also awarded the Richard Paul DeLong Prize in Church Music by the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and the Bronson Ragan Award by Manhattan School of Music. He has served as organist at churches in Texas, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York, and acted as accompanist for the renowned children’s choir Chorus Angelicus, based in northwestern Connecticut and directed by Paul Halley. In the summer of 2004, he accompanied Chorus Angelicus on a tour of western Ireland.
Kyle has played recitals in numerous locations throughout the country, including such notable venues as the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, New York City, the Brick Presbyterian Church, New York City, Washington National Cathedral, and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. He has twice been invited to participate in the International Organ Festival at St. Albans, England, and was a semi-finalist and prizewinner in 2011. He has also taught organ improvisation at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Kyle currently resides in Washington, DC, with his partner, Robert McCormick. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, taking day trips in the DC area, and cooking.

Noelle Castin, Director of Christian Education

Noelle Castin is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, and has been active with the Presbyterian church since she was in junior high school. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in French, minor in Religion from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. After graduation, she worked for two years as the Director of Youth Ministry for First Presbyterian Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Following her time in NM, she moved overseas and worked at the Armed Forces Recreation Center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Upon her return to the United States, she worked at the Council for International Exchange of Scholars with the Fulbright Scholar Program and then was selected to be a DC Teaching Fellow. As a DC Teaching Fellow, Noelle worked as an elementary school teacher for the District of Columbia Public School system for seven years and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from American University.
Noelle has also been actively involved with the Center for Youth and Young Adult Ministry at the Montreat Conference Center in Montreat, North Carolina. She served as a summer staff member, small group leader for a number of summers, back home group leader, conference support staff member, planning team member, and a co-director for the 2008 Omega summer youth conferences.
During her free time, Noelle loves spending time with her husband, Mark, and other family members and friends. She is an avid reader and movie watcher, practices yoga, loves to bake, and enjoys traveling to new places.

Amy deCourt, Manager of Financial Services

At Bradley Hills, Amy is responsible for the daily financial functions and long term financial planning of the church. Working closely with the staff, the Session, and the leaders of the church, she is responsible for matching the short and long range financial goals to available resources. She joined the BHPC staff as the Manager of Financial Services in 1996.
Since Amy’s parents were charter members of Bradley Hills, she grew up involved in life of Bradley Hills. After being baptized and raised here, Amy joined the church in 1972 and was and married at BHPC.
Prior to joining the staff, Amy earned her BS in Mathematics from Salem College in North Carolina and her BS in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, University College. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Maryland with experience in financial consulting; specifically in accounting software development and implementation.

Farid Beltran, Manager of Facilities

Farid Beltran has been the Facilities Manager since 2007. He began working at Bradley Hills in September 1992 as a Sexton. Originally from El Salvador, Central America, Farid moved to Maryland in 1990. Prior to being hired at BHPC, he worked for a Jewish Temple for two years. Farid graduated from The Institute Emiliani of El Salvador in 1989 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics. During the past years he has taken computer programming courses at Strayer University and classes at Montgomery College. He is currently a member of The National Association of Church Facilities Managers (NACFM) and in the process of becoming a Certified Church Facilities Manager.

Linda Reynolds, Office Manager

Linda started as Office Manager on October 11, 2010. She is very happy to be working at BHPC and appreciates the warm welcome she has enjoyed from both the staff and members. Please stop by the office and say hello to her when you get a chance. Linda lives in College Park with her husband, Rick, and enjoys volunteering at her Episcopal church, travelling and watching BBC television programs. Please join David and all of our staff in welcoming Linda as our new Office Manager.

Mimi Miller, Manager of Communications

Mimi Miller began working as Communications Coordinator in 2005, responsible for creating publications, maintaining the web site and church database. Mimi has a deep relationship with Bradley Hills. Her husband was baptized and brought up in the church and they were married at BHPC in 1984. Their three children were baptized and confirmed here. Before joining the staff at BHPC she had a long career in the computer industry (including Exxon, Wang Laboratories and Microsoft Corporation) with positions in training, technical writing, national account sales and contract management. She is also a member of the Bradley Hills Bell Choir and Chancel Choir.

Rev. Tom Jones, Parish Associate

Rev. Dr. Thomas Jones is Ambassador at Large in the office of the CEO for Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) and serves on the Senior leadership Team for the world-wide ministry. He was the organizing pastor of Meadowview Presbyterian Church and senior pastor at Harvey Browne Memorial Presbyterian Church, both in Louisville, Ky. He served congregations in Florida, including the bi-racial, bi-lingual New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Miami as the organizing pastor in 1965. From 1979-1991, Tom served as the Senior Pastor of Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC. In the academic world, Jones served Louisville Seminary as vice president, adjunct professor of church and ministry, and as a member of the faculty from 1977 to 1980. He is the author of When Leisure Is the Lord’s (CLC Press) and a speaker of national reputation, including appearances on television and radio, such as the Protestant Radio Hour preacher and NBC National Radio Pulpit preacher. Tom is married to Caroline Grandy, who joined BHPC on May 10, and is father to Lora, who was confirmed at BHPC on May 17. We look forward to Tom’s involvement in worship and with the life of our church.

Rev. Marty Albershardt, Parish Associate

Marty grew up active in a Presbyterian church in Moorestown, NJ, where he father was the senior pastor. She received a Bachelor's degree in English from Ohio Wesleyan University, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The American University, and a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary. Prior to seminary, she published poetry, worked in editing, and also for a literary agent in Washington, DC. She was a member of Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church in Kensington, MD for sixteen years. She was hired there as Youth Minister, and was active as youth fellowship leader and teacher. She joined BHPC in 1995 with her husband Bill and three daughters who are now young adults. Marty was an elder, chair of Worship & Arts, helped start the 8:30 service, and has taught all ages and Adult Ed. at BHPC. Her ordination for ministry took place here in December 2009, and she has served as a pastoral intern, a hospital chaplain resident, and pastor in the area. Marty is currently a member-at-large of National Capital Presbytery, enjoys supply preaching at many churches, and serves on the NCP Clergy Misconduct Response Team, training clergy in Healthy Boundaries and Misconduct Prevention. She is also a Spiritual Director, working one-to-one and leading retreats, having studied with The Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation. She jogs, does TaiChi, meditation, and enjoys movies, music, and traveling.
