A native of Texas, Kyle Babin is Director of Music at Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church.  He holds a Bachelor of Music degree (summa cum laude) from Rice University, a Master of Music degree from Yale University, a certificate from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Manhattan School of Music.  His organ teachers have included Clyde Holloway, Martin Jean, and McNeil Robinson.  He has also studied improvisation with William Porter.  While at Yale, Kyle was the recipient of the Charles Ives Prize in Organ and, consequently, performed a recital at historic Center Church On-the-Green, New Haven, Connecticut, where Charles Ives was organist.  Kyle was also awarded the Richard Paul DeLong Prize in Church Music by the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and the Bronson Ragan Award by Manhattan School of Music.  He has served as organist at churches in Texas, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York, and acted as accompanist for the renowned children’s choir Chorus Angelicus, based in northwestern Connecticut and directed by Paul Halley.  In the summer of 2004, he accompanied Chorus Angelicus on a tour of western Ireland. 

Kyle has played recitals in numerous locations throughout the country, including such notable venues as the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, New York City, the Brick Presbyterian Church, New York City, Washington National Cathedral, and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.  He has twice been invited to participate in the International Organ Festival at St. Albans, England, and was a semi-finalist and prizewinner in 2011.  He has also taught organ improvisation at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.  Kyle currently resides in Washington, DC, with his partner, Robert McCormick.  In his spare time, he enjoys reading, taking day trips in the DC area, and cooking.
