Concerts at Bradley Hills

Mission

As an integral part of the vibrant music ministry of Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church, our concert series is an important means of connecting with the wider musical community, a source of mission and social outreach, and a vital form of evangelization.  The mission of Concerts at Bradley Hills is to provide world-class musical events in a wonderful acoustic, thereby sharing the joy of music with the public as a living ministry.  These concerts are also essential ways of aiding social justice ministries through the donation of proceeds from certain concerts to various charitable organizations. 

History

A concert series at Bradley Hills was first created under the tenure of Donald S. Sutherland, Director of Music from 1971 to 1999.  From 1972 to 1991, "Bradley Hills Presents" offered world-class concerts in the superb acoustic of Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church.  The series featured many famous musicians: Marie-Claire Alain, William Albright, Phyllis Bryn-Julson, David Craighead, Leon Fleisher, Judith and Gerre Hancock, Susan Landale, André Marchal, the National Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, Martin Neary, Louis Robilliard, Ned Rorem, Albert Russell, Larry Smith, Donald S. Sutherland, Vernon de Tar, the Theatre Chamber Players, and Dame Gillian Weir.  With the revival of the concert series in 2009, Bradley Hills has once again opened its doors to talented performers as a mission to the wider music community.

Friends of Music

Friends of Music consists of all those who, through donation of their time and financial gifts, support the cause of concerts at Bradley Hills.  Concerts sponsored by Friends of Music are supported solely through suggested donations and admission costs collected at all events, as well as the gracious financial contributions and volunteer efforts of Friends of Music.  If you would like to become a Friend of Music at Bradley Hills or receive email updates and mailings about future concerts, please contact Kyle Babin, Director of Music.  For donations, please make checks payable to “Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church” for “Friends of Music.”  Please join our Facebook group, "Concerts at Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church."
