February Youth Connection Schedule

Souper Bowl Sunday – February 5 (8:15am – 11:45am – on and off) – Get in the Super Bowl spirit by teaming up in the fight against hunger on Super Bowl Sunday morning. Youth volunteers are needed to collect can goods and money in “Souper Bowls” before and after both morning services. The food and money collected will help to feed the hungry in Montgomery County through our Kitchen Ministry serving Bethesda Cares.

Quiz and Pasta Bowl – February 12 (6:00-7:30pm) – We need all hands on deck for this popular intergenerational and family friendly fundraiser. Do you want to help create quiz questions, decorate Memorial Hall, help prepare the food, sell tickets, or be on the all-important clean- up crew? Let Noelle know how you would like to help. Also spread the word about this event to your friends and family.

Presidents Weekend – February 19 – No Youth Fellowship due to President’s weekend. You might invite a couple other youth to go bowling if you’re in town…..

Do you You Tube?  February 26 (5:30 – 7:00pm) – After a yummy dinner we’ll create a You Tube like video on an issue that is relevant to YOU. This is a follow-up to our January 29 fellowship. If you did not attend in January your participation is still welcome and encouraged at this fellowship event.

Looking Ahead. . .
Presbytery-wide Paintball - March 4 (12:30-5:00pm) – We’ll join other youth groups from our presbytery for a fun filled, paintballing adventure! Space is limited, so make sure you sign up in advance with Noelle! Cost: $45 plus lunch.

Parent’s Nights Out! – Fridays March 16, April 20, and May 18 (5:30pm – 9pm) the Youth will help create a fun-filled and safe evening for children so their parents can have a “grown-up” night out. Dinner will be included. We need all youth to participate in these fundraisers which will also be providing an important service to our community. Babysitting experience is a plus but not necessary to participate. Training will be provided (adults will be present at all times).
