Adult Education Classes – 9:15-10:15 a.m., via Zoom
Join members of our congregation and community for live speakers on topics of the moment such as the Bible, civil rights, social justice, the environment and public policy! Knowledgeable and exciting speakers share their insights with the audience followed by questions and answers.
Alleluia Singers – Sundays, beginning September 20 from 1:00 to 1:30 via Zoom
We are excited to offer Alleluia Singers Choir on Zoom beginning Sunday, September 20rd at 1PM with Marie Marquis! Children from Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to attend. This year we will be exploring Ways to Praise, focusing throughout the year on different ways to praise God. Our 30-minute weekly zoom sessions will include a short warm-up for our voices and bodies, learning and singing new songs and revisiting old favorites, musical games, and discussion of new musical concepts and ideas in relation to our songs and anthems. We will email out a packet each week including sheet music for upcoming sessions, links to recordings of the pieces that we are working on together, fun musical worksheets, and games or projects to try at home. Join this choir for grades 6-12 virtually! Lantern Chorale will meet approximately once every three weeks this fall for virtual rehearsals! This time together will include time for socialization, vocal warmups, listening to music, working on a pre-recorded choral recording, and learning about music history and theory.
