Save the Date: Welcome Back Brunch
September 3, 2025Addressing food insecurity is part of how Bradley Hills lives out our call to love our neighbors. We are engaged in two programs that serve children and families, and we encourage volunteers to join us in making a difference together.
Feeding Families
We are proud to support Faith Presbyterian Church’s monthly “Feeding Families” project! The demand is now higher than ever for families in this church’s neighborhood.
We need 4-5 volunteers on the third Saturday each month (rain or shine) to help Faith’s team pack 60 grocery bags from 9:00 – 10:40 am at the church in Anacostia and distribute them on the church property.
Adults, families, and teens are welcome.
Dates: September 20, October 18, November 15, and December 20
Smart Sacks
This program is a great volunteer opportunity for the whole family! We invite you to join us immediately after the 10:30 service to assemble sacks of food, which will go to area families in need.
We also need volunteers to help set up before the assembly and to help deliver food during the week to public schools. Set up and delivery volunteers must be able to do some lifting.
Interested in volunteering? Talk to Elaine Henderson or Jim Kettler during the Smart Sacks assembly after the 10:30 service.
