Grief Support Workshop: Handling the Holidays After Loss
October 15, 2024Bradley Hills provides guidance to children and their families on aspects of Christian faith, which we call “Milestone Workshops.” Topics covered include communion, prayer, and the Bible. See below for upcoming workshops.
Workshop on Prayer
Sunday, October 27, 9:15-10:15 a.m.
Calling all 1st graders! Children’s Ministry invites all our 1st grade kids to participate in the Milestone Workshop on Prayer.
We will learn more about the nature of prayer, the many ways that we can pray, the story of Jesus teaching the disciples to pray, and finally, the Lord’s Prayer itself. Later in the fall, all the participants will recite the Lord’s Prayer in worship and be given a gift to celebrate this milestone.
The workshop will take place on Sunday, October 27 at 9:15 a.m. in Room 303 and will be led by DCYFM Rosanna Howard and this year’s confirmands. Parents are encouraged to attend alongside their young child, and childcare will be provided for other siblings.

Workshop on the Bible
Sundays, November 17 and 24, 9:15-10:15 a.m.
Attention 3rd Graders, and any 4th or 5th graders who have not participated in the past.
Join us for a Milestone Workshop on the Bible. The Bible Workshop is a Bradley Hills tradition. Steve Burns, a long-time member and Sunday School teacher, offers a two-week introduction to the Bible for children and their parents.
The workshop runs for two weeks: Sunday, November 17 and Sunday, November 24 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in Room 303.
In addition to helping children connect the Bible to the foundations of our faith, we will give some practical hints on how to use and explore the Bible.
Steve Burns is a delight for families to work with. Kids and parents alike always leave his workshop with a smile on their faces! Please let Steve and Rosanna know by registering if you and your child plan to attend the workshop. We recognize that conflicts may make attendance at both sessions difficult, but we encourage you to come to both sessions.
After the Bible Workshop, we will present 3rd graders with their very own Bible on Sunday, November 24 at the 10:30 worship service.
