John Grobowski became a member of the church in 1959, when he was 12 years old. His parents were among the founders of the church. Now retired, he spent most of his working years in China and Hong Kong as an international investment and trade lawyer. His wife, Jackie, is from Shanghai. Their children, Maggie and Joe, are currently studying at Oxford University and the University of Washington. John has served as an usher at the church.
