Mondays, September 23 – October 28, 5:00-7:30 pm.

The Family Small Group will meet weekly for six sessions and provide the opportunity to fellowship with familiar friends, meet new friends, engage in spiritual practices, and participate in stimulating conversation.

The participating families will take turns bringing a meal to share with group. We will begin with a shared meal at 5:00 pm and take an hour for folks to arrive from work and join us. After the meal, we will break off from the children around 6:00 pm for our discussion. The children will remain with childcare to play and have fun!

This year we will be using the book Jesus and the Disinherited by Howard Thurman.  This timeless classic offers insights on how the teachings of Jesus help us hold on to our integrity and walk in love and forgiveness during challenging times.  Thurman’s reflections and insights on “the religion of Jesus” offer opportunities for rich discussion as we encourage and support one another in our faith journey today.
